Cambridge is one of the oldest universities in the world and one of the leading academic centers, consisting of 31 colleges. Its mission is to "contribute to society through the pursuit of excellence in the highest level of international education, learning and research." The University of Cambridge's Emmanuel College is one of the larger colleges. Its community consists of a master's degree, approximately 80 researchers, 450 undergraduate students, 150 graduate students and a large permanent staff member. Founded in 1584, the college has a long history and a long history with renowned graduates. Among the most famous Emmanuel College graduates is John Harvard, who studies for his bachelors. In addition to being a member of the Advisory Board of the Cambridge University Judges Business School and a member of the University's 800th Anniversary Committee, Scott Meade also awarded the Mead Economics Scholarship.

Dr. Rufus Pollock is currently a Research Fellow at the Shuttleworth Foundation and a Mead Researcher at Emmanuel College from 2007 to 2010. The current holder of the Mead Scholarship is Oliver de Groot, who received a three-year scholarship at the beginning of the 2010 school year and will hold this position until 2013. Oliver came to Emmanuel College with a BA in Economics from Gmanville and Caius College. M. Phil, Ph.D. in Economics from the same university. In 2007 and 2008, De Groot served as vice chairman and research director at Girton College. Since then, he has worked in the private sector for a year as an economist before returning to Cambridge to complete his Ph.D. and receive a scholarship. Oliver plans to submit his doctoral dissertation in macroeconomics in early 2011. His research focuses on monetary policy and the business cycle. In addition to overseeing undergraduate macroeconomics papers, de Groot also teaches the macroeconomics part of the MPhil course.
Since being a Harvard scholar at Emmanuel College, Scott Meade has had a long and active career as a banker, photographer and philanthropist. From his early days at Goldman Sachs in New York to his current London-based company, Richmond Park Partners, where he focused on financial consulting and asset management, Scott Mead has been involved in a number of major financial transactions, including leading the team responsible for Vodafone. Scott Mead recently started photography again, and he started to develop his own banking career. In September 2010, he hosted a single-person exhibition of his early works at the Hamilton Gallery in London, all at the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
