What is a Jewish date?
We have Jews from all over the world, trying to meet each other and find a life partner.
Many Jews come from Europe and are often referred to as Ashkenazi Jews.
Most of our European Jews are not so spiritual and religious, but we still want to live together among our own people. What really defines our Jews? [I am, I am a Russian Jewish woman]; do we really follow the lifestyle that Torah claims; or do we really follow all traditions and laws? Do we all really maintain Judaism and celebrate the Sabbath every Friday?
I have to say that most young Jews really don't "match the typical Jewish image"; we think we are "reformed" and think that our culture has changed; we are allowed to do certain things, everyone can. It is like a Jewish title.
Of course there are many religious people, they really have a way of life, you and I can't lead; those who really live in their own community, date and marry in their environment.
However, for most of us, even if we are looking for Jewish singles, we don't want to be with any "too" religion or too conservative people; this means we can't do what we like to do, like Drinking and gathering; and having premarital sex... right?
Most of our Jews are single and don't even like each other; everyone thinks that all Jewish single girls are JAPs [Jewish American princesses]; girls think these guys are "mother's little Shawn." right? And, is there anyone who is good for him? Sounds familiar? what?
However, somehow, we all want to date our own people because it feels something safe and comfortable. Not because you think Jewish girls or men won't hurt you, or betray you, or disappoint you like "others."
This is because we feel that we share our history and culture, we must be able to get along, understand and fall in love, no one can...
Unfortunately, we must recognize that our people are "humanized" and imperfect like everyone else.
Jewish dating services, like all other online dating services, have their strengths and weaknesses; on the one hand, they are great because you think everyone has Jews, they know exactly what you feel and what you are looking for; on the other hand, You have met many Jewish singles, they are completely dishonest to themselves, just playing, and not really looking for their game.
I personally found my Jewish man on the online Jewish dating site, once every four years, and now we are married and have a three-year-old child. We really [I mean] very happy! Marriage is certainly not easy, but when you are with the right people, everything is possible, you can make things happen and be happy!
So, my destiny is attributed to the Internet and online dating... I believe that if our Jewish singles have their own dating sites, we need to support it to make it very special, trusting and meaningful.
Let us be honest with each other, let us communicate like adults [unlike children]; we don't post photos of others to your profile, let's not lie about our age, weight and body shape..... Let us not forget that we are all special and selected people!
From the former Soviet republic, Jewish religion and culture are suppressed and actually hidden. I find it open to your culture, to celebrate your traditions, and to recognize your traditions. This is very refreshing!
