Superbank interviews and breaks - What is the difference?

What is the difference between the Superday Investment Bank interview and the normal final round of interviews?

Both are the last round of interviews, but this is the end of similarities.

Some banks will conduct a simple second round of interviews involving a group of 2-3 bankers discussing all common investment banking interview questions. That is, a medical doctor, assistant, and analyst are constantly facing you for 45 minutes to an hour in a dimly lit room! This is an hour of hell, but it is over.

Compared to other banks like to do a series of 1-1 and 2-1 interviews in a day... Hello, Investment Bank Super Day.

The problem is the same, but the interview format is different, the days are longer... longer! In addition, there are a variety of additional features such as group lunches, ability tests and minor electric shock therapies. Oh and super dinner!

It's hard for me to give advice on which type of final interview you will get because it varies from bank to country.

But in general, Superdays is the norm, the simple second round of IB interviews. For those outside the main areas of IB, as more and more banks adopt US IB recruitment methods, we also saw Sundays there [such as Southeast Asia].

In the final round, what is the bank trying to solve your problem?

Although the first round of interviews can help them decide if you are normal. The last round of interviews is more about whether you can match an MD and whether you will get along with the team.

That is to say, in the final round, the bank is not simply trying to break out of Ben Stillers [basic smartphone], but trying to identify Neos... the person chosen [MD-class smart people and team fit]. Because the final round is the last line of defense between your inexperienced ass and a well-paid job, expect the defender to hold a bigger fight here than they did in the first round.

In other words, the final round will be tough! They will conduct the first round of banking interviews and it looks very simple.

However, at the end of the day, you may only encounter subtle differences between the types of questions that bankers have raised in the last rounds compared to the first round - but don't forget that standards and follow-up questions are always in stark contrast.
