Looking for expert interviews - how

When I started my business, I didn't know anyone. All I have is my cell phone and tape recorder. But in a short period of time, I accepted some interviews. Now, eight years later, I interviewed some of the world's top copywriters and marketing experts.

People like Jay Conrad Levinson, John Carlton and Bob Bly. People who usually charge a large fee for their time.

So how do I get these interviews? Well, there are really a few different ways.

One of the easiest ways is to ask. This is what I did when I was interviewed by network guru Mark Joyner. He is a subscriber to my website. I still remember seeing this name on the list.

I sent him an email and said, "I know who you are. I am very happy to meet you." Anyway, I kept in touch and accepted the interview in that letter. I interviewed him first and then invited me to accept an interview with one of his projects.

When I first came into contact, many other interviews came.

That is... if I find someone in the marketing world that I think is perfect for my clients... I email them. Moreover, I asked if I could interview them. This is how I interview people like Bob Bly and Ben Settle.

Now I have some help with some high-profile interviews. One person has some knowledge of my audio on my website. He is a public relations expert with many well-known clients.

One day, he approached me and asked if I would like to interview Vic Conan. So I did it.

Through him, I interviewed many others, including: Bill Bartman, Tom Hopkins, Alex Mendosian, John Carlton, Ted Nicholas and other top experts. These guys may pay his fees monthly to provide public relations services, and his job is to get them in touch.

Interviews are part of this exposure. This is where I come in.

Now the fact that I have a lot of customers on my website is definitely helpful. However, even if I just had an interview on my website, this person may still be interviewed according to the recommendations of his public relations experts.

There are a lot of public relations experts now, and sometimes these public relations experts are not available. However, if you approach them and position yourself as a good resource for good customer exposure, PR experts have no reason not to introduce their customers to you.
