Many times, when I was talking about the actual consumption of my car, I was looked at with suspicion. People who have the same type of car as me consume far more than the car manual, far exceeding my car consumption. Even if we consider similar driving styles, traffic conditions and common routes for the same type of car, with high consumption statistics, it can still consume less.
The following tips are tips I use to reduce car consumption:
- The first thing you need to do is to use eco tires. Michelin energy-efficient tires provide economical and durable data compared to major competitors;
- Avoid using unnecessary accessories such as ski boots and side trims, and choose a 1-2 cm suspension kit that will enhance aerodynamics;
- Abandon "muddy" protection and shorten the roof antenna by 5 cm;
- The intake grille may be partially blocked but will remain cool under normal conditions. Obviously you should use the previous generation of air windshield wipers;
- My car is completely soundproofed, including a sound absorbing hood placed in the engine compartment;
- Another important thing to remember is that the details are important at speeds over 80 km / h. Even a dish or a folding mirror, an antenna or a fender will make your car consume more. This is a simple mathematical equation;
- Close the engine compartment with a plastic cover or hard aluminum alloy and place them intelligently, which will provide more aerodynamic improvements, allowing more control over the airflow under the car;
- Don't put unnecessary things on the car in the summer, such as shoveling snow, and try to go light.
- You need a toolbox like a carton cigarette case, a rag, a medical kit, a jack and a binding. You don't need anything else.
