I think interviews are social encounters between two or more people who use speech as their primary communication medium. The interviewer needs to clarify the purpose of the exchange to ensure that time is used to provide and obtain relevant and revealed information.
Through face-to-face candidates, the best opportunity to gather information about their skills and experience and to match the right people to work and organization is provided.
It provides a tool that allows one to express opinions and opinions to another person in a structured way.
Remember, our purpose is not only to evaluate candidates, but also to accurately describe the work. We also need to represent our organization in the best possible way to attract quality candidates.
On the surface, the interview provides the manager with a meeting place to ask questions directly to the candidate. This is also an opportunity to test their jib cuts and see if they are qualified for the job.
In my opinion, the interview has four functions: -
- It helps to determine if a candidate is likely to adapt to the values of existing employees, teams and organizations. The best candidates can be seen from the early stages of the interview. For example - the power of a handshake, eye contact, pretense, etc.
- It helps to assess the potential of candidates for future performance.
- It also helps candidates get all the necessary information about the work line. This allows them to judge whether the work is right for them.
- The most important reason is to allow employers and candidates to meet each other by providing forums and information exchanges.
