Writing a short story is fun and very satisfying for any writer, and is usually a welcome to write a longer novel. However, there are still some components that need to be implemented.
The most important point in any fiction is the character. Building cute, believable primary and secondary roles should not be overlooked because you are writing a short story.
You should spend a lot of time on your protagonist because they need to keep readers interested until the end. You need to develop and build your own personality, including any physical attributes you may mention from time to time. This is because the more your readers know about your main role, the more they care about what happens to them. Your little characters also need to be eye-catching because they move the story there and teach the reader some information about the protagonist.
Once you've identified your character, another important element of the short story is the plot. It is vital that you provide obstacles or conflicts for the main character, which is what he or she needs to achieve the purpose they want. In the course of the story, we see how your protagonist achieves this.
In a short story, the plot is usually the single goal or exit that your protagonist wants to solve. This may be an emotional disorder/internal conflict, such as overcoming the death of a loved one. Or obstacles may be more practical, such as stories about moving or passing a driving test.
A good plot needs to be fun, believable, and should not disappoint your readers because it is too predictable or unrealistic. Because typical short stories have a limited number of words compared to novels, your writing needs to be simple and lively. Obviously, the longer the short story, the more you can develop the story and build techniques such as cliff hangers.
Another component of a short story is the setting or location. To make your story more credible, it's important to put the story in a real or fictional city or country. You want your readers to be able to imagine where your story takes place and deepen the truth of your story.
